Decision making ... hmm! what decision making ? Do I really need it life ... life will go on.. why to complicated by decisions and all .. I am not a leader why to worry about such a stupid thing?
These are the questions that people will ask if you ask them if they wish to learn decision making...
BUT think a minute... even if you decided not to learn decision making even then you have made a decision... That means decision will come to you freely either you make them or accept them .. So decision making is not important ... Its GOOD DECISION MAKING that's important... How to make good decisions is the topic of interest for me today as I am also going through a turbulence. I am pressed by my ego, societal pressure and fears & insecurities etc etc ....
So let me write about good decision making and then God may give me intelligence and courage to overcome my fears and help me to make right decision.
Every good decision making process involves following steps in sequence:
1. Problem statement or scenario or options :
Understand the problem/scenario/options first. Have discussion to really know the severity, impact and area of the problem. Complete understanding of things will give you options. It may turn out that problem is very small or almost non-existent and probably its the result of irrational thinking.
2. Discussion with the concerned parties :
Its a very very important step in right decision making. You have to approach to the people as an object of emotions and not an object of intellect. Don't be rude... Don't be generic when you really discuss things. People will consider your point only if they find you genuine, respectable and considerate to their views. Once you win trust of people, their intellect will come out automatically.
3. Count your options :
Options are in fact the drivers for your decision. If you have only one option for a problem, Its simple. Explain this option to everybody, convince people and that's it. You can't do anymore other than accepting and then working in accordance with the option.
Real game starts when you have multiple options and you are really don't know which option is best. Make a list of options. Derive a matrix out of your criteria and then evaluate your options.
prioritize them and choose top 2-3 for further discussion.
4. Re Discuss options with all the parties :
Discuss your options with all the parties involve. Present your chosen options to them. Don't tell them you have decided or favoring any one option. It will stop the thought process and people may find it difficult to accept things presented to them. If people find new options appealing go back to point 2 and start again.
5. Choose the most acceptable option and do not go for the theoretically better option. Anything which is not accepted by the team will fail.
Bottom line is give yourself enough time, discuss, think and then decide. It will help you to get rid of a lot of trouble.

Learning One : Presentation Skills and Public Speaking
I wrote about nation, about ideas to understand caste. Many persons came to me and appreciated my ideas and freshness that flows from heart. A few People found my articles long and boring. They failed to understand the meaning of straight lines :)
SO today, I am going to write simple and fairly useful professional details of a seminar which I attended just to refresh my soft skills. Instructor's name was Apoorv Chaturvedi.
He told us that public speaking is assumes by people as biggest fear. There are only two natural fears :
1. Fear of falling
2. Loud noise.
No other fear is natural. These are just mind created. There are many types of speaking fears :-

NO CHOICE IS YOUR CHOICE!
Today I am going to write my heart and let it open to all of you to understand my sufferings and frustration arising out of it. You have to listen to me because you have no option because you are made choice less by The Rich, The Powerful and The privileged. Now no diplomatic talks, no strategic discussion,no preaching and teaching and above all no regrets if you get charged to take up the world. Its a plain truth and You have to live with it. You have to suffer and keep saying that you are enjoying it. You are helpless? No You made yourselves helpless and master is there to make it feel that way so that he can remain master and you can remain what you are. What you are ?
You took birth on this earth..... No big deal.. Millions are children are taking birth everyday... You suffered from day one to get your rights and your parents suffered to fulfill their duties. When You opened your eyes in this world, You didn't knew that your parents paid money to the government doctors and nurses as bribery. When they brought you at home, there was no electricity for you. There was no drinking water to drink. They begged to the state to get them and got some "bheekh" for you. You was a active child and one of the brightest in the world. You learned to walk at the age of six months but when you came out of your house, there was no streets to welcome... You suffered .. Why?
You got older. When you wept, you got toys to play with but when you asked for education, there was no school to take you in... You are the future of this nation but you were treated like a orphan child by the state, by the government. What was missing ....? Your parents again on knees and arranged education for you. You were bright and hard working. You worked harder than anybody else. You learnt to win and get first place in the group but there was nobody to take of the weakest student in the group.you were told to get first everywhere and performed without thinking what you like. You have only one choice and that was NO CHOICE ... as today I am going to question you... your conscious...
You graduated... You searched for JOB without worrying about your career as earning was more important to you than anything else.... You were told that it was the best choice because it was only choice... You got it and you enjoyed it better than anybody else.. without thinking that you got something which is so ordinary, so simple and you wasted you creativity just getting something which is you birth right but you chose to pay the biggest possible price for it... Why??
Again you were programmed by The Rich, The Powerful and The Privileged ones to do what suits best to them. Your habit getting first place in the group finally led you making unpaid worker for the state... Again you are going to repeat the cycle what you parents already completed...Why??
Are you so lazy that you cant produce enough food for yourselves? Do you lack enough fertile soil? You have no electricity because you do not have enough energy resources?? Are you and your children denied education because you are so weak to learn anything or your country lacks good teachers... ? You are refused justice, security and all basic amenities as you failed to pay you taxes.... ? You are suffering every moment you live because government lacks resources to satisfy your requirements or you don't deserve it and you need to keep begging it through out your life and finally die as a discontented and weak person.
No My dear friends! NO.... Your country has everything you want.. It can support more than 2 billion people and You can live happily. You can get education.. You can get good roads and electricity... You can get justice in time and live safely in your own country. You will not be frightened to move in any part of the country at any time be it Kashmir, north east or Maharashtra .. day or night... You mothers and wives will not be frightened to get out of their houses even 2AM in the night... They will not be afraid of getting molested even in their own villages and towns......
My dear Friends! Its not a dream its absolutely possible...
We identified our enemy and it is The Rich, The Powerful and The Privileged.... They are looting you... They are not allowing to do what you want ... They are you enemies .... They made you choice less ... They exploited you and will exploit your kids. Neither you nor you children will have choice to make decisions and exercise respective rights.... They strip you of your money by taking away your money whatever you have ... They will not allow you mothers and wives to live safely and confidently... Feeling helpless ?? Indeed you are ... Good to realize it Better to identify your enemy : The Rich, The Powerful and The Privileged.
You had no water and food because they wasted it ... You had not safe home because they wanted to show their power.... You wanted to get justice, They bought it, slowed it and killed it.
You wanted good education, they gave you have pseudo education to make you their slave. You wanted to live a happy life, They Took it away by piling duties on your head.
Finally You wanted to make a choice but they gave you only one choice.... i.e. NO CHOICE...
Yes My dear Friends! It time to understand that you have only choice and that is no choice. You have nothing to loose and to gain the whole world... the happiness... You are left with only one choice and that is to identify your enemy and Kill them crush them and destroy them... You never made this choice, they gave you only this single choice and You have to exercise it... You have to justify your existence... You have to get your honor.... You have the right to live a happy life....
Again Choice is yours... Its Now and Only Now... Its not your death that is going to serve the nation the people its your live that is going to make the difference. You are living a borrowed life and suffering every moment you live.... Make you choice which is NO CHOICE!

Success : Basic Points!
I am a student of society who has very less experience on ground... I worked to bring 2-3 very small organizations in existence and I don't know that I failed or succeeded.Also my role was mainly of volunteer. still I am writing this article to give glimpse of my understanding of success because I am asked these questions many times by a number of people. I am discussing these points mainly for organization building and leadership development in social field but fundamentals remains the same. Same person can be successful father, son, social worker, student and may choose different roles but basic characteristic is that a successful person is programmed to succeed everywhere and he succeeds in each and every field which interests to him... Hence the one single article for all walks of life.
Successful person breaks all rules of society, religion, culture and created by man. He even goes to the limit to deny the laws of science. He believes more in logic and relies on his knowledge and experience rather than ages old customs and rules. A man is as free as His mind is....... and mind of a man can be free only if he freely start observing everything in the world as a third party. He is no longer chained by worldly rules as rules are bound to change with time. few hundred years ago people were believing that earth is centre of universe. Today even a kid knows that its wrong. Socrates were given poison for his teachings but many PhD are done to really understand his thoughts and world is praising his knowledge. It simply means accepting something without testing it on the floor of truth and logic leads to ignorance and hence to the failure.
Imagination and creativity is one of the most fundamental qualities of successful people. Dreaming is considered bad but when it is supported by imagination and creativity its become hypothesis of success which needs to pass test of logic to prove its worth. Newton can't discover laws of gravitation just by seeing that one apple is falling. He has to imagine a relationship between event of its falling and its cause. He know the effect and he just needs to discover cause which he first imagined and then proved it. Without imagination and creativity Edison cant invent electric bulb. Even before starting his experiments he imagined and used creativity to think of a device that can emit light.that's why he remained optimistic even if he failed so many times.
To succeed in long run, hard work is required because nobody cant be talented enough to learn everything in one shot... success is an event but successful person is creation of self by that person himself.... This is what that person want to see himself after a long period of time.... True I am sounding too much subjective but its the demand of the subject. So person not only needs to achieve a particular success but he has to create series of events of success and Hence he has to keep learning and updating his knowledge. Hard work is a term which encapsulates dedication and determination within. Without dedication and determination nothing can be achieved. Forget about being successful, even temporary success cant be sustained without these two.
Let us be passionate. Let us do things what we want to do. Let us be clear what we want to do and then do it with full devotion. Remain passionate for your goals. Create a burning a burning desire for success. Think about your goal, imagine your goal, dream your goal and keep working hard.... Always remember every step taken by you is towards success. This is most fundamental quality of successful Person. They always remain passionate about their goals.

Caste System is here to stay!
Caste System is here to stay!
Election in Uttar Pradesh started and concluded but discussion on the relationship of politics and castes is not stopped yet as ever. Caste system is as old as Indian civilization and people failed to understand it properly till date. Caste is not only a system it is a mentality, it is a well developed institution in which every Indian is bound to graduate. There are two types are voices I hear in present Indian society. Modern means of development, international exposure, fast means of communications, urban development and industrial growth, railways and rising new lower middle class made the caste system weak in first and most prevalent observation. One group of people strongly believes that caste system is inhuman and against the norms of civilized society. This group is happy that caste system is weakened by development and education. Let us call this system the optimists. Another section believes, justifies and tries to convince that caste system is scientific. They give numerous examples, tell stories and live in the world of "unreal reality". Let us call this group the pessimists.
BUT interesting point is that both sections believe that caste section is weakened and it is becoming more and more weak everyday. I differ and I strongly feel that it is not the case. In fact the realty is exactly reverse of what we perceive. To comprehend my statement let us understand the caste system and then try to analyze process of its becoming weak and strong.
Caste : Basic Philosophy
All across the nation people believe that caste is based on varna system and people are divided on the basis of their birth in four groups : Brahmin, Kshatriya, Vaishya and shudra. It is assumed that hierarchy is rigid and universal by definition. Roughly it is correct but many sociologists pointed and proved that this assumption not only incorrect but also it distorts the reality in such way that understanding caste and its behavior becomes really a complex problem.
Indian society is divided in different small endogamous groups and members of these groups are ascribed caste and their position in the society is by virtue of their birth. Caste is unchangeable and a person of particular caste can not leave it and he can not be part of any other caste community by any means. Girls can get a higher caste by marrying to a groom of a higher caste but inter-caste marriages are generally not acceptable and bride and groom both have to face a lot of trouble in case of inter-caste marriage. There is concept of pollution in which touch of one human being defiles purity of another person.
There is absolutely no difference among members of different castes and there is no way somebody can differentiate them biologically or otherwise. This means two friends may eat drink and enjoy together till one friend tells another one explicitly that his is untouchable. It clearly proves that caste is an attitudinal and behavioral phenomenon, not a scientific fact.
Caste is not a general institution. It’s not a general system either because there is no well accepted dogma to take care of it. I would say there is no institution to preach caste at all. It’s the society which preaches and takes it forward from one generation to another. It’s a cyclic phenomenon which defies all logic and keeps rotating again and again.
Caste can’t be destroyed easily
It is clear from previous discussion that caste is not a normal system or institution. It is made part of Indian society by continuous process from old generation to new generation. It recruits its cadre by continuous preaching and training. Exceptional thing about caste system is that it doesn’t recruit a man but a child and imprints its impression in the very beginning of life of a man. Now caste system is not a temple, it’s not a well defined place, event and human behavior. It’s just vague and undefined. Its everywhere…… it’s in me, you and in the whole Indian society. If we want to destroy the caste system, it seems we have to destroy the whole society. We have to destroy the basic learning system which starts from home. We have to destroy the previous generation because previous generation is teacher of caste system.
Modern means of development forced the so called upper caste people to live and mingle with so called lower caste people but it also brought the literate advocates of casteism. I met a lady who asked my caste.She said that she didn’t believe in caste system but she just wanted to know if I was schedule caste. I simple told her that if caste doesn’t exist how somebody could be schedule caste.
People are advocating reservation to remove casteism but giving reservation on the basis of castes. Parties are passing resolutions to destroy the caste but forming caste based alliances to win elections. If modern means of development weakened the caste system in few areas it made is stronger in most of the areas. Now caste based associations and political parties are coming in existence. Modern means of communications made it is easy to form nation wide groups based on caste. People are changing titles in their names but not changing their attitude. They are marrying in same caste and believe that their caste is superior to others. Where the caste system is suffering due to development and education? Initially caste system was localized and now its global phenomena, Its now more powerful, more accepted and more attitudinal.
Does it really possible to destroy the caste system? My opinion is affirmative. How is the big question which I will not prefer to explore in this article?
Conclusion
Caste system is an evil and it should have been removed in 20th century only. Indian leaders took wrong approach to solve the problem. They wasted their time and energy in passing resolutions, changing titles in their name and advocating for inter-caste marriages. They forgot to understand that when they ask for inter-caste marriages they actually verify the existence of caste system as a well accepted system. Optimists are more theoretical than practical and their efforts are as worthless as this article.

If we really want to solve the problem, we need to think about it like a great thinker, social worker and politician. We have to invent new means; we have to develop new long term vision.

Parties are passing resolutions to destroy the caste but forming caste based alliances to win elections. If modern means of development weakened the caste system in few areas it made is stronger in most of the areas. Now caste based associations and political parties are coming in existence. Modern means of communications made it is easy to form nation wide groups based on caste. People are changing titles in their names but not changing their attitude. They are marrying in same caste and believe that their caste is superior to others. Where the caste system is suffering due to development and education? Initially caste system was localized and now its global phenomena, Its now more powerful, more accepted and more attitudinal.
Does it really possible to destroy the caste system? My opinion is affirmative. How is the big question which I will not prefer to explore in this article?
Conclusion
Caste system is an evil and it should have been removed in 20th century only. Indian leaders took wrong approach to solve the problem. They wasted their time and energy in passing resolutions, changing titles in their name and advocating for inter-caste marriages. They forgot to understand that when they ask for inter-caste marriages they actually verify the existence of caste system as a well accepted system. Optimists are more theoretical than practical and their efforts are as worthless as this article.
Caste System is a more powerful than it was ever and strength of it is growing due to modern means and literacy. If we really want to solve the problem, we need to think about it like a great thinker, social worker and politician. We have to invent new means; we have to develop new long term vision.
